i know it doesnt sound very enthusiastic but i feel that i dont need one. ive got a state ID and i'll just be walking around in college. but then again i do need it to drive to a future job (GRRRR). most people would be happy to get a license just to go anywhere they want. but for me its the opposite. i was thinking of this: the whole time i was at the DMV: [link] i still cant believe i still remember that.
yesterday i told my mom that my permit was gonna expire today. she made me drive around the neighborhood and just when i was gonna go home, mom said i had to pic up my sis from Wal-Mart. i got frustrated because the way to walmart was a crazy way to go. i dont like it when mom drives with me cuz she screams in my ears thinking im gonna screw up. her worrying caused me to mess up a lot. just when i was about to approach walmart, the evil sis said that she got a ride back from her friends. that really pissed me off cuz i had to endure the screaming mom and the crazy traffic for nothing. i was downright mad on the way back home. when i got home i just fell straight to the bed and slept for 3 hours. when i was sort of waking up, i overheard mom talking to dad saying that i should get my license today because it expires today.
when i woke up this morning, mom had me drive to the gas station (there was a car in front of us that had the license that said "TOASTY" and i wanted to take a pic of it to show u guys, but the light turned green) and the DMV (GGGRRRR DMV!) when we got there, there was a small line outside, it was no big deal. when we got inside, we had to present our IDs and insurance. bad thing was that mom left the insurance in the car and i had to go back to the end of the line. when we were up again, we had to wait 15 minutes to be served. the server told up to bring the vehicle to the back to start the driving test (i didnt have to take the written test today, dont know why, is it cuz im 18?). on our was to the back, there was an alley full of Egyptian hieroglyphic pictures on the wall. i wanted to continue looking at them but i couldnt cuz i was driving.there were 2 lanes to start the test. it felt like waiting for a roller coaster to start. my driving instructor was a woman who smell like fruit (yum). ive never felt calm but nervous at the same time because she didnt scream over something so little.
the driving part was easy. we exited the back, into the hieroglyphic alley, and into a small neighborhood. she made do some lefts and rights until i had to park into the curb. i thought that part was gonna be hard cuz i didnt have much experience to parallel parking (i did fine though). then i went onto a busy street and was commanded to switch lanes. i turned left (i didnt know i was back at the DMV) into a parking lot. i executed perpendicular parking (thats my favorite kind of parking) and turned back around to the back of the DMV. the last part was to park perpendicularly again. after all of that, she told me i passed (yay). then i got my pic taken (its terrible as usual) and mom drove me to work. dad and the employees were congratulating me for getting my lisence.
